Statement
I am a legally blind artist who has been working on large abstract pieces in mixed media. My current work is environmental in concept. I am trying to show the natural evolution of nature in bamboo forests. My images evoke life emerging from near death. They are hopeful and very colorful. I paint them in my garden, surrounded by birds and flowers. My daily contact with nature fills me with prayers for the future of life on our earth. I see that there is great strength in the nature around me; but I see the frailty as well. The creative process gives me the power to express my feelings in ways that I cannot do with words.
